About Bark BnB

Hello and welcome to Bark BnB. My name is Dee. My other half is my beautiful wife Stephanie and together we run, “Bark BnB.” First, we would like to thank you for taking the time out to review our website. Since 2022, our devoted clients have trusted us to care for their furry companion(s). Thanks to their trust and devotion, they have helped us reach almost 50, five-star reviews, and dozens of confirmed stays. We know there are many pet sitters out there and finding the right one can be an overwhelming experience. We will do our best to make this process as comfortable as possible for you.

__Our Goal__

We strive to make our home a fun, stress-free, open-play environment and safe for them all. If you have never left your dog with a sitter, don't fret. All guests adjust well when they are in our home. They have so much fun playing and making new friends that they quickly forget their owners even left. We aim to make our home a vacation getaway for your furry friend. We make every attempt to accommodate your dog's needs within our guidelines. We offer socialization for dogs that tend to be shy/nervous or not used to being around other dogs. Over the many years involved with animals, we have developed the proper skills needed to socialize dogs. If your pup loves to play, we can accommodate that with our large backyard. If your dog is older and likes a more peaceful, quiet environment, we can adjust to that as well. We don't have any breed or size restrictions. However, we do require that your pup be up to date with vaccinations and social with other dogs. Above all, your pup's health and safety in our home will always be of the utmost importance to us. In a rare event during playtime with other dogs, there are instances where a minor injury may occur, such as scrapes or bumps. If your pup becomes sick or injured, we will take the proper steps immediately to ensure their safety.

__About Our Home__

We live inside the Lakeside community located near Simpson & Fortune Rd. We live 15-minutes away from the Orlando International Airport, and a 30-minute drive from Disney World (Zip Code 34743). Our home combined with our fenced in backyard is approximately 3500 square feet. That means your pup has 3500 square feet for them to explore. We do not ever crate any of our guests. However, we will accommodate the owner's request to do so due to puppy training or medical needs. We have a fully fenced backyard offering lush grass, very little dirt, gravel, rocks, shade and plenty of toys, ropes and sticks. All of our oors are doggie proof, travertine tiles in the kitchen, living room, dining room and bedrooms. The tiled oors are great in case your pup has an accident. Please do not worry we understand that accidents happen, and it can be easily cleaned. Our guests are welcome to pick any spot in our home to sleep. There are even a few spots in our room if they need to sleep close to us.

__About Us__

I do have a work from home position, so I am home basically 24/7. Rest-assure your fur babies will rarely be left alone. Meet and greets, check-in/out, and Drop-In Visits are based on availability.

Both my wife and I have had a dog for as long as we can remember far before we started Bark BnB and we both have extensive experience with many breeds and personalities. We love to engage with animals ensuring quality care at all times, while providing a safe, healthy, and comfortable environment. We genuinely love animals and enjoy having them around.

We have no children at this time. We do however, have four pups of our own. Blizzard is our 14-year-old Husky, Syla is our 9-year-old Dachshund mix, Lola is our 7-year-old Australian Shepherd mix, and Mia our 1-year-old Yorkie. All of our pups are super sweet and get along great with big and small dogs. Blizzard has a low energy level. He enjoys lounging around the house and wondering in the backyard. Syla and Lola both have a moderate energy level, so they enjoy playing but not for extended periods of time; they prefer naps, cuddles, and snacks more than anything. Mia has high energy! She loves to wrestle and chew on toys.

__Arrive On Time ⏰ __

Pet boarding & Doggy Daycare check-in time Monday-Thursday is from 7:00AM-11:00AM & check-out time Monday-Thursday is 6:00PM-10:00PM. Monday-Thursday Drop-in visits are based on availability. Friday-Sunday check-in/out times & Drop-in Visits times are flexible from 7:00am-10:00pm. This schedule is of extreme importance because the dogs are free to roam around the house and I’m obligated to my work from home position. It is imperative that you must arrive on time. If you are running late, we understand but please keep us updated, so we have time to put the other dog guest away before your arrival. We like to have a smooth pick up or drop off so it's crucial that if your arrival time changes, you let us know. We always ask for all our clients to send us a message 5 to 15 minutes before you arrive. Thank you for your cooperation.

__A Typical Day__

On any day of the week, you can expect us to have multiple dogs in our home. My day consists of feeding the pups twice a day. Making sure they have plenty of water in and out of the house. Picking up lots of poop LOL! Lots of playtime in the backyard for those that enjoy running, chasing, and playing. The pups are let outside several times a day. When they come in, they will either follow me around the house or just lay down on the cool floors to relax or nap. We feel no need to take dogs for walks since they have plenty of opportunity throughout the day to do their "business" in the backyard. We strongly believe that being in our backyard is a safer/more controlled environment. Throughout the day we take several pictures so you can see how your pup is doing. We typically send clients daily updates with photos and or videos in the morning and evening.

__What is Required__

Flea & Tick: All dogs must be on ea and tick prevention. Despite our best efforts to treat our yard and having our lawn cut every week, it still is not enough. Please make sure you treat your pet now and continue monthly applications throughout the rest of the year. We have the right to refuse any dog that has a ea/tick infestation.

Vaccinations are essential for the safety of your dog; it is vital that he/she be current on all vaccines. Having your pet vaccinated is the best and least costly way of preventing disease. Without proper vaccination, he/she will be left unprotected. Please send us a copy of the latest vaccination records before our scheduled meet and greet.

Give detailed feeding instructions. Provide emergency contacts and vet information, especially if you will not have phone service while on vacation.

Please bring food, food bowl, collar and vaccine record. Dog's regular food, enough food for the entire stay and a little extra in case you have a flight delay, etc. Please do not switch his/her food a few days before coming to our home because in some dogs, changing the food abruptly can cause diarrhea. Bring a food bowl, we have plenty of water bowls. We have extras but prefer you to bring his/her regular food bowl. Dog collar with name & rabies tags is required. Doggie beds are only recommended if you have a senior dog with medical needs. We do have some doggie beds. If you bring treats, we will offer them to your pup in an isolated setting.

We do not charge for oral medications or injections. Please provide detailed instructions. I am knowledgeable with administering insulin shots, etc.

__Things to Keep in Mind__

We always offer a free Meet & Greet to new potential clients. It gives everyone a chance to get to know each other and to see where your pup will be staying. It allows me to connect with your dog and make sure he/she has a successful stay with us. If your pup likes to run around there is a small chance, he/she will get dirty during the meet and greet. For those visiting out of town, we can communicate by phone and determine if this is the right place for your pup. Also, there are times when you have an emergency and are unable to do a meet and greet. We will do our best to accommodate if this happens.

To enhance your dog's experience during their stay with us, we are pleased to offer our professional grooming services. Our basic grooming package includes services such as a bath, brush, and ear cleaning. These services are designed to keep your dog looking and feeling their best throughout their stay. If you would like to add this grooming package to your booking, please let us know, and we'll ensure that you dog receives the pampering they deserve. You can find the pricing details below.

Basic Grooming Package:

-Bath

-Brush

-Ear Cleaning

Price: $50.00

On a rare occasion there will be a dog who will not eat on the first day or so. We always take some extra time with the dog if this should happen. We try sitting in a quiet area, and/or give 15-20 minutes extra time. We even try to feed out of our hand LOL! This one usually works. If all else fails, we would always contact the pet owner to discuss other options. This normally only happens with super high energy dogs, who's only care is to run and play. After the excitement wears off they are ready to EAT!! At feeding time, all dogs are separated in rooms/areas throughout the house. We feed two times a day-morning & evening.

It is highly recommended that all dogs be spayed and neutered due to the nature of care we provide. We cannot accept females during their heat cycle. Males that are intact and mark everywhere in my home or show possessive tendencies towards a particular dog will not be allowed back. Just to clarify-some male dogs may start snifng around and might pee the rst time they enter my home. In most cases it only happens once, and it is not a problem throughout the rest of the stay. Some females can also pee mostly from excitement; this is also understandable. Most dogs that are neutered at a young age will rarely exhibit any marking or humping behavior. Pups do have accidents and that is not a problem. I always have bleach, water and paper towels handy to clean up in such instances.

We are happy to provide care for injured dogs or those with special medical or health needs. We accept puppies that are up to date with their vaccines. Puppies that are still in house training or have an occasional accident are not a problem. If you are still puppy potty crate training, you can certainly bring the crate.

**DAILY RATE IS FOR EACH 24 HOURS**

We strive to accommodate your drop off and pick up times. Example is for reference purposes only; drop off at 8:00 am/pick up at 8:00 am. If the pickup time is going to be later than the original drop off time, the app will charge an additional fee according to the pick-up time you choose.

If you have any questions about this policy, please do not hesitate to ask. Thank you for your understanding.

Mandatory Meet & Greets for Boarding & Daycare Services

There is no such thing as a bad dog however, not every dog is suited for our off-leash, open-play environment. We take the safety of our guest’s very seriously, so each one must first complete a thorough Meet & Greet to ensure that they are a good fit for Bark BnB.

The purpose of meat and greets is to introduce myself to your pet. We like to ensure your pet is in good health, displays appropriate social behaviors and make certain that all parties are comfortable with the arrangements. Meet and greets are conducted where primary care will be provided. For example, if you’re interested in drop-in services the meet and greet will be conducted in the pet’s home. If you’re interested in boarding services, the meet and greet will take place in my home. If your an out of town guest we can arrange a virtual meet and greet. Meet and greets are highly recommended but we understand that emergencies happen and can make accommodations accordingly.

For the Meet & Greet, please arrive with your dog on a leash or slip lead with a collar/harness both in the driveway and upon entry into the backyard. The evaluation process with your pet will take about 15 minutes. In that time, I will assess your pet’s overall health, behavior patterns and temperament.  I also require a copy of your pets most recent vaccination record. Upon completion of the meet and greet we will discuss whether or not your pet is a good fit, confirm your booking, and ensure all of your questions are answered.
